Shae Williams, who performs under the moniker SHAE ALTERED, is an independent singer, songwriter, and dark and dreamy alt-pop act from Portland, OR. Her music is an intense and melodic blend of alternative and electronic pop that straddles the line between indie and commercial.

THE MUSIC: SHAE ALTERED's debut EP, Sleep Talk, was released March 2017. The EP is a collection of songs written and co-produced by Williams operating around the concept of confessions and dreams; each song is an admission that can only be addressed in a state of unconsciousness, using experimental sounds to create an immersive space. Being not only a musical but visual artist gives Shae the freedom to create her own artistic content and visuals in conjunction with her music. The EP was reviewed by Northwest Music Scene, and the title track from the EP was featured on Wolf In A Suit music blog, The Drunken Coconut Music Blog, and Substream Magazine’s playlists. River, the second single off the EP, debuted on hit Portland radio station KINK (101.9 FM), and her music has garnered play on national radio including Portland Radio Project, Beyond Dawn, Crystal Blue, WXRY, and international play on Analogue Trash Radio in the UK. SHAE ALTERED attended the Northwest chapter of the Grammy Songwriter's Summit in 2017 and has played Portland’s premier venues including the Hawthorne and Roseland theatres. SHAE ALTERED has played the RAW National Music and Arts Showcase in Portland and San Diego at the San Diego House of Blues, and Youbloom indie festival in Los Angeles. Her most recent single, Miss Me, was released July 2017 and was featured on YabYum music.
